The award-winning bluegrass band Blue Holler will bring its music to the front lawn of Thomas University?s Forbes Campus at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. The performance is part of the Sundays at Four series presented by Arts for the Community at Thomas University (ACTU).
The members of Blue Holler began performing together in 2004 with their unique mixture of traditional, contemporary, jazz-influenced and gospel bluegrass music. Traditional bluegrass artists Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin and Tony Rice provide the foundation of Blue Holler?s sound. Other artists ? including John Hartford, Kenny Smith, Etta James and Lonesome River Band ? also influence their music. Blue Holler performs regularly throughout Georgia, Florida and Alabama with their instrumentals and family-style harmonies.
