Geeks vs. Guardians 5K

TU?s students, faculty and staff will engage in a friendly competition with current and former members of the armed forces during the Geeks vs. Guardians 5K Race on Saturday, Nov. 12, in honor of Veterans Day. Whoever has the most runners with the best times in each age category wins bragging rights in the event that?s intended to bring the community together to celebrate the military. Registration and check-in begin at 7:30 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. The course will begin on TU Forbes Campus at the corner of Pinetree Boulevard and Millpond Road. From there the course will wind through the neighborhood north and east of campus. Plaques will be awarded to the top male and female runner in each age category. Registration is free for TU students and military-affiliated runners. The entry fee is $35 for civilians. Those who don?t want to run are welcome to walk the course. After the race, a day of family events are planned on TU?s Forbes Campus. Food trucks will be on hand. TU?s military partners will have displays and activities for children and adults.
