The GP First Annual Invitational Pheasant Shoot

The Gathering Place cordially invites you to participate in a Pheasant Tower Shoot at Dogwood Plantation Hunting Preserve. All proceeds will go to support the Gathering Place Youth.  

The Dogwood Shooting Preserve, operated by the Gainey Family encompasses more than 1,100 acres. The Tower Shoot will be in an open field surrounded by pasture, pines and hardwoods on a lake. There will be 15 stations (or hay bales) surrounding a release center in a way that offers safety for all hunters, guests, dogs and staff. Each station can accommodate 4 shooters (2 active at a time). If you have never participated in a Pheasant Tower Shoot you will not want to miss this exciting event. 

Event Details 

• Check-in begins at 8:00am and 12:00pm. One hour prior to the beginning of each shoot.  
• Multiple Bales available for purchase 
• 300 birds (Each shoot) -Dog Handlers will be Retrieving Birds 
• GREAT LUNCH at noon by H&M BBQ 
• Pheasants will be dressed (distributed equally between hunters) 
• Hunters are allowed to bring their own dogs, but there is a $125 fee.
• Hunters will need to bring their own shot gun shells

  Your Gathering Place donation to participate is $450 per shooter or $1800 per bale (may be split between 4 shooters, only 2 active shooters at a time). Tax-deductible receipt provided by The GP. 
  
  Please make checks payable to The GP Thomasville. Full payment is required by November  9, 2022. Sorry, no refunds unless event is postponed by weather and can be rescheduled.
