A Thomas County native\, Whitte spent 35 years with Xerox Corporation\, rising to serve as a Project Lead System Engineer and becoming a named inventor on a 1990 U.S. patent.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhitte broke barriers in a field where few Black women were represented\, building a legacy of perseverance\, innovation\, and leadership throughout her career. Her story reflects both the challenges and opportunities faced by African American women in science and engineering during the twentieth century. This program\, sponsored by the Jack Hadley Black History Museum\, celebrates a Thomas County trailblazer whose accomplishments reached far beyond our community.
